From all of us here at The Elms, we would like to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving!  First season is slowly coming to a close. Duck numbers are declining but speck and snow numbers are staying strong. With colder weather up north, we are looking forward to the next big push.

We Are Less Than 24 Hours Away From D Day!!!

The clock is ticking! Season will be here in a matter of hours. Blinds are brushed, pits have been pumped, fields have been flooded, and birds are in the area and on the move! We have been seeing good numbers of Mallards, Gadwall, and Pintails. We have also been seeing other puddle ducks as well along with big numbers of snows and specks. We have been doing a few last minute preparations and we are ALL excited and anxious for Saturday!  ducks and geese on flooded field

Want to know how to win? Real simple! Bring in a picture from the 2015-16 duck season to JL’s Café or text the picture to 501-690-0164. The pictures will be posted here at the café. Pictures must be submitted by 12:00pm February duck call board7th,2016.

The picture can be just about anything! A shot of a youngster with their first bird, your four legged companion after a long retrieve, or even a sun rise over your spread! Just take a picture and give it to us!

The winner will be announced after the 7th of February, 2016.

Birds On The Move!

big group over fieldunnamedBirds are on the move! Saw several thousand birds just north of some of our fields. They are in the area for sure. Tons of snows, specks, and quite a bit of ducks as well. Saw lots of pintails and saw several mallards as well. Won’t be long now!!!

Duck Season

Season is less than Two Weeks away!!!!

We have been very busy getting ready for season. Blinds have been placed and we have started pumping water into some of our fields. We are starting to see good numbers of birds as well. We are very excited and have high hopes for this upcoming season! Stay tuned for more updates!
